Bodhrán Making in TY

Transition Year students engaged in a wonderful half-day workshop where they had the opportunity to make their own bodhráns under musician/master craftsman Michael Vignoles. They each created a customised bodhrán, hammering, sanding, sawing & stretching the materials. They all received lessons on how to play the instrument and it was wonderful to hear the sounds of the bodhráns from the hall. It was a very memorable experience and they each have a musical instrument to treasure in the years ahead.
