Student Resources

Covid -19 and its impact on students' educational experience:

As public conversations around coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) increase, students may worry about many different aspects of this disease and its impact on their lives. Parents, family members, school staff, and other trusted adults can play an important role in helping students minimises their fears and anxieties.

Our leaving and junior certificate students have experienced significant changes to their end of year state examinations. We as a school wish to support our parents/guardians, the primary educators in easing your daughter's possible anxiety surrounding her upcoming examinations.

We have sought the advice and expertise of Dr Gillian Moore Groarke, Clinical Psychologist, Registered Practitioner and Associate Fellow of the Psychological Society of Ireland. Dr Moore Groarke has designed two presentations for the students of Christ King Secondary School. We invite our parents and students to view the presentation together and hope the talking points will resonate with our students and their families during this tie.

Karen Underwood is a long time suporter of our school and our students. Karen is a famous jazz singer who experienced significant loss in her personal life. Karen believes in positive thoughts and speaking up as to how you feel. There is never a need to apologise for your feelings, just say them out loud. Here you will find a special message from Karen to CKSS leaving certs 2020. I ask all students to listen too, this are words of wisdom.
