Christ King Girls' Secondary School

Principal's Welcome

I am delighted to welcome you to Christ King Secondary School. We are a school founded on the values, ethos and traditions of the Presentation Sisters and their foundress Nano Nagle. In 2008 the school passed from the Presentation Order to the trusteeship of CEIST. CEIST is built on the founding vision of the five Congregations, emphasising the dignity and rights of the human person, empowering the most vulnerable in society and enabling young people to become catalysts for social transformation throughout the world.

Everything we do at Christ King is encompassed in our five goals of our Mission Statement:

To respect the uniqueness of the individual.

To develop the intellectual potential of each student.

To develop a personal and active faith in God.

Our hope is that this mission will be fulfilled in co-operation and partnership with pupils, parents and the wider community.

Our website is the ‘window to our world’. As you enter and look around you will gain information about our school and the work it does to foster our vision and mission for the young women we educate. You will see examples of the many exciting opportunities we provide for our students helping them to grow in their faith and pursue academic excellence through our curriculum offer and the wide range of enrichment supporting their wider personal growth and development.

Therein lies a vision of excellence which encourages the girls to lead their lives by gospel values and to make a difference. Our prayer for them is that they grow in confidence, in personality and in character, that they become fulfilled and strive to be the best version of themselves.

We encourage you to continue through the various pages of our website and to gather a picture of the broad scope of educational initiatives in place.

Ms. Richel Long,
