Some of the aims of the Maths Syllabus are:

  • to ensure a firm understanding of mathematical concepts and relationships and to develop confidence and competence in basic skills as well as the ability to formulate and solve problems.
  • to reinforce and further develop in the young person the knowledge, understanding, skills and competencies acquired at primary level;
    develop the young person’s personal and social confidence, initiative and competence through a broad, well-balanced general education;
  • to develop an appreciation of the power and beauty of mathematics and of the manner in which it provides a useful and efficient system for the formulation and solution of problems.
  • prepare the young person for the requirements of further programmes of study, of employment or of life outside full-time education.

Congratulations to our Leaving Cert Class of 2019 who graduated on Thursday. A beautiful Mass in Christ King Church was attended by all students, parents and teachers.
Junior Cert students enjoying their end of year PE trip. Bowling was the order of the day with the focus on #fun #friends #teamwork. Thank you PE depart. for keeping us focused on positive physical activity before the exams.
On Wednesday May 22nd, the Christ King School community gathered together in the school hall to recognise students who had achieved and excelled academically, on the sporting field and across a wide range of different areas.
