French Week in School

Last week, a number of initiatives took place in the school with a view to immersing the students in French Culture and language.

On Monday 6th March, a language theatre company presented a show in French for our Transition Year students. The students really enjoyed the show which was full of action, songs and comedy!

Six students took part in the show. They played the roles of detectives who were investigating the mysterious disappearance of Madame Robert’s dogs from L’Hôtel Nobert. Our student actors were Roisin Spillane, Rachel Compagno, Emily Shannon, Savani Kodilkar, Karen Yamedjeu and Anna Nunan. Well done girls!

On Tuesday 7th March, the entire 5th Year French group went to see a French Film for French Film Festival

On Friday 10th March, we had Leaving Cert French/German Oral Day whereby students concentrated on French and German language for the entire day and had practice orals during the day.

Well done to all the teachers involved in organising these wonderful events.
