GRÁINNE HITS ALL THE RIGHT NOTES AS TOP JUNIOR CERT MUSIC STUDENT

Christ King Transition Year student, Gráinne Ní Luasa, has been was presented with the Louise O’Connell Memorial Trophy and Medal for achieving the highest mark in the country in her Junior Cert music exam.

Gráinne, who plays cello, piano, and recorder and recently performed with the Christ King school orchestra in the school show “My Fair Lady” which ran for two nights at the Firkin Crane Centre.

Gráinne received the “Louise O’Connell” Memorial Cup and Medal from the Post Primary Music Teacher Association for achieving the highest mark awarded in Ireland for Junior Cert Music 2012.

The ceremony took place in Dublin and was attended by Gráinne’s music teacher Ms. Aisling Creedon, proud parents, Carmel and Niall and her grandparents.
