Second Year Students celebrate gaining third place in Lego Robot Competition.

Since October, a group of Christ King students have been busy engineering RescueBots to compete in the final of the 8th Annual Cork Electronics Industry Association (CEIA) Lego Robot Competition which took place at Cork Institute of Technology on Thursday, 9th February2012.

The competition is undertaken in conjunction with University College Cork (UCC), Cork Institute of Technology (CIT), Tyndall National Institute and the support of  CEIA member companies. The Companies sponsor the provision of kits to schools, Lego Mindstorm Kits and software programmes. This year’s task is to navigate a maze in a SeaBot rescue mission.
This year the students were asked to make a robot that would perform certain tasks under water.
